About Me

Tift is a licensed professional counselor (LCPC) working with individuals, couples and families, and maintains a private practice in North Bethesda/Rockville, Maryland. Originally from New Orleans, I have lived in Montgomery County for over 20 years.

With years of experience as a therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic, and as a graduate of George Washington University, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among the areas of expertise I have worked with in private practice as well as at the clinic are chronic pain, anxiety, anger, adjustment to a different culture and LGBT issues.

I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Board of Certified Counselors.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Working from a person-centered approach, I use a combination of positive psychology, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain their self indentified full potential.
